Almost Christmas

Most people worry about over eatting at this time of the year, but I think the one thing to focus on instead is the joy and laughter that this time of the year can bring. We can find a more productive way to attain joy during this season and not bring the focus only on ourselves and our physical "presents ".
Start each day with the thought and focus on things of eternal value always helps with current day.

Christmas Tribute to the Maker

I have long been in awe of this time of year not just because of the the meaningful reason for the season, the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ but because of His willing to live in one of our human body's, with all of the prefect design because of our sin it is now flawed. We have reason to celebrate that He in all way took on the task of some day providing us with a resurrection body. I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to the regenerated one.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Knee Injury Follow-up

Knee injury's can be the result of doing good healthy activities such as exercise, skiing, and dancing. The problem is often a balance issue not a over use or a weight issue as so many would have you believe all problems to stem from.
Some very simple balance stretches can make all the difference in how and what your knee can accomplish for years to come.

Knee Injury and Other Structural Problems

Dear, Dilapidated Geezer
Knee injuries are very common for all ages. Hyper extension is one of the most common injuries related to anyone who stands for long periods of time. I would recommend that you stand or sit with your weight more in the heel of your foot and slightly bend your knee putting more weight distribution through your heel, calf, and quad. This will help the injured knee to heal and prevent further injury.
Of course, if there is pain of any kind see your health care practioner immediately.

Christmas Shopping

When Christmas shopping this year my tip for finishing well is to wear good arch supporting shoes and eat a good breakfast, go early in the day, and keep it under an hour.
I love to shop for the perfect gift to ascertain exactly what someone is looking for and of course get the best deal possible. My suggestion for all you last minute shoppers is to think of the individual that you're shopping for and to buy something small but meaningful, such as a nice pen or a couple of pieces of expensive chocolate. The gift doesn't have to be large just thoughtful.

Travel In Comfort Car or Plane

While I was driving to my family's for Thanksgiving I realized how much my body's position needed to be in a more arranged way to add to my comfort for a long drive or any sitting.
One option is to tilt the front of the seat or put a pillow under your backside just enough so you are forced to keep your feet on the floor to hold you in the seat.
